The AI Ethics Book Club is a biweekly gathering to educate interested students on the nuances of ethics in the domain of Artificial Intelligence and social technology. Members will meet for 45 minutes on the lawn outside Genome Sciences building.
We will encourage discussion and respectful debates on the societal implications of this fast-growing and transformative technology. Our guide will be Genius Makers by Cade Metz, Weapons of Math Destruction by Cathy O'Neil, and Atlas of AI by Kate Crawford.
As AI grows the people involved with its development are responsible for understanding the depths of each debate. This book club puts focus on ethics to educate our members to encourage making technology that benefits people instead of harming them.
